Stock Market Highlights
On Monday, benchmark stock indexes began the week on a sour note, with the Sensex falling about 483 points as a result of selling in IT, capital goods, and banking stocks amid global equity losses.
The BSE Sensex fell 482.61 points, or 0.81 percent, to 58,964.57.
It fell 552.78 points, or 0.92 percent, to 58,894.40 throughout the day.
The Nifty 50 index fell 109.40 points, or 0.62 percent, to 17,674.95 as 29 of the 50 companies fell.
