Stock Market Highlights
On Monday, benchmark indexes remained under pressure, with the Sensex falling over 365 points after a sell-off in global markets and a drop in shares of index heavyweight Reliance Industries.
Foreign money withdrawals continued unabated, and the currency touched an all-time low, weighing on mood. At 54,470.67, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell 364.91 points, or 0.67 percent.
It fell 917.56 points, or 1.67 percent, to 53,918.02 throughout the day. The NSE Nifty ended at 16,301.85, down 109.40 points or 0.67 percent.
Reliance Industries, Nestle, Indusind Bank, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC were the top laggards among the Sensex companies.

US Markets
The S&P 500 fell below 4,000 points for the first time since late March 2021, while the Nasdaq fell more than 4% in a selloff led by mega-cap growth stocks as investors became increasingly anxious about rising interest rates.
The Nasdaq hasn’t been this low since November 2020. Apple’s stock lost 3.3 percent and was the Nasdaq and S&P 500’s largest loser. Microsoft Corporation declined 3.7 percent, and Tesla Inc sank 9.1 percent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 653.67 points, or 1.99%, to 32,245.7, while the S&P 500 dropped 132.1 points, or 3.20 percent, to 3,991.24, the lowest finish since March 31, 2021. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 521.41 points to 11,623.25 points, or 4.29 percent.
Asian Markets
On Tuesday, Asian stocks fell to their lowest levels in almost two years as investors sold riskier assets due to concerns about increased interest rates and their impact on economic development, while the dollar remained at 20-year highs.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific equities outside Japan was down 0.8 percent for the seventh straight day, bringing the year’s losses to 17 percent. The stock markets in Asia were a sea of crimson. The Nikkei 225 fell 0.9 percent, Australian equities down 2.5 percent, and Korean stocks fell 2%.
SGX Nifty
The wider index in India is expected to begin with a loss of 88 points, according to SGX Nifty trends. On the Singaporean market, the Nifty futures were trading at 16,203 levels.
