Stock Market Highlights
The Sensex fell 115 points, or 0.20 percent, to 58,568, while the Nifty 50 fell to 17,464.
After a turbulent transaction on the last monthly F&O expiry of the financial year 2021-2022, the BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 closed in the negative.
The losses in the BSE Sensex were restrained by index heavyweights such as Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), and ITC.
Reliance Industries, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Wipro, and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the top draggers.
The Bank Nifty finished the day 0.11 percent higher.
